Nov. 26 (Bloomberg) -- Bank of Canada Governor Mark Carney was unexpectedly appointed as the next head of the Bank of England, succeeding Mervyn King on July 1. U.K. Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne made the announcement today in Parliament. Bloomberg Television's Guy Johnson and Manus Cranny report.
