New Haven held its annual Veterans Day ceremonies on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, but along with the speeches by and about veterans and laying of wreaths was the unveiling of The "Fallen Flags" Project, a new work of art by Farmington artist Rebecca Fellows -- which looks like six ceramic flags from a distance, but up close is a collection of individually-framed portraits of the 6,389 soldiers who had given their lives in Afghanistan and Iraq as of the ceremony.  « Less
